カレン州にあるレイケイコー村での日々、あるいはレイケイコーからも逃れざる得なくなってしまったさまざまな人々の様子を、監督自身の目線で捉えた短編ドキュメンタリー。2021年２月に起きたクーデター以降、無垢な市民たちは、軍による攻撃と暴力を恐れ、ヤンゴンをはじめ様々な地域から、「安全」とされている解放区カレン州、そしてレイケイコー村に逃れていく。しかし、そのレイケイコー村も国軍により侵略・空爆され、人々はさらに土地を追われていく。銃声を耳にし、川を越えて逃げること、難民テントで生きること。「逃れる人々」は今、どのような想いでその状況を語るのか。
After the February 2021 coup, the intense fighting in Karen State that began with the Lay Kay Kaw battle. Now, there are about 500,000 refugees in the 7 districts controlled by the Karen National Union (KNU). Most of these refugees are women and children. In this documentary, you will see the hardships of the refugees and the hopes of the children. I have been in the battle since the beginning of the battle of Lay Kay Kaw, and I had to live in two refugee camps for 13 days to avoid the war. Most of the information in this documentary is from my own experiences. Children are the future. Is it fair to spend their future in wars?
